Bright Knights began in the fall of 2011 after Cook Williams began receiving requests to teach children the game he loved to play. He had already taught his own four children, two of whom developed a passion for the game.
Bright Knights taught its first weekly class for Jefferson Elementary’s Kindergarten class for the 2011-2012 school season. Other early clients included a private school, Foundations 4 Advancement Learning Academy and several Girl Scout Troops. The kids had fun and learned a lot about playing the game of chess. We have grown each year welcoming new schools and opportunities to share Chess!
We are glad you stopped by our site! We look forward to working with you in promoting positive programs in our communities. When people of good will support positive activities for kids we can say confidently that the future is Bright for our youth!
